ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Uma, the voice and spirit behind "Idea to Identity." Born and raised in the vibrant city of Bangalore, India, I’ve called Dallas, Texas, my home for the
past two decades. My journey has been rich and diverse,
fueled by a deep-rooted passion for teaching and
connecting with individuals from all walks of life.
With over 20 years of experience in various realms including
vendor management, procurement, and finance in the
automotive finance industry, I’ve mastered the art of
negotiation and cultivated strong leadership skills.
My heart, however, has always been in teaching.
From inspiring young minds at the age of 16 to coaching
executives and running local community TEDx events,
teaching has been my way of giving back and making a
difference.
"Idea to Identity" is a culmination of my lifelong dedication
to learning and empowering others. It’s a space where
stories unfold, lessons are shared, and purpose is found
amidst the plethora of ideas that life throws at us. It’s about navigating through the noise, finding that one idea that resonates with you, and transforming it into your identity.
As a vegetarian food lover, an avid reader, and a travel enthusiast, I bring a global perspective and an inclusive approach to everything I do. I am a mother to two wonderful teenage daughters, a loving wife, and a caregiver to my aging mother. My Indian heritage plays a significant role in my life, guiding my values and enriching my cultural understanding.
